After-Hours
We understand that children don’t always get sick between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., so we have three options to serve you after hours.
In-Office
We have one physician who works late Monday through Thursday to accommodate acute illnesses. Please call the office for this option.
Children’s Urgent Care
Washington University Children’s After Hours is available for urgent matters.

Please only use exchange for urgent concerns that cannot wait until the next business day.
If an urgent matter should arise after office hours, call our exchange. During overnight hours, trained pediatric nurses from St. Louis Children’s Hospital will answer your calls, provide advice, and contact the on-call physician if needed. Routine matters such as appointments, test results, medication refills and billing questions should be addressed during regular office hours. In case of an emergency, go to your nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1.
